Me and my loved one have thought about this as an option on wasting away quietly in the same place. I live in UK and the greater world is over the water to France and Europe and beyond but there are a lot of fires burning right now and there is the other thing – fear. Not so much catching a scud missile broadside – more the fear of change.
How did you get to be so valiant in a suburban dwelling next to a golf course?

Hi Garth, nice to meet you. My husband would say “baby steps”. I wasn’t so keen to leave behind my comfortable life. John wanted to spend our money before the taxman did. You know that old saying, “if something is meant to be, it will be?” Well, that’s what happened. Every thing fell into place. Each time we made a decision propelling us forward and we hesitated, we would counter with, “What’s the worst thing that could happen? If all fails, we can always come back.” I developed an exercise to help us make decisions. If you would agree, I’d like to use your comment as the opening to a new blog which I will provide instructions. I think you and your better half may find delving into this exercise will be a real eye opener and will confirm that fear is the only thing standing between you and your dream.
